How to Stay Motivated to Work Out

Working out can be fun initially, but after awhile it can become a tedious task. Looking for ways to keep yourself inspired to get fit? You've come to the right place.

Put it in Perspective

You have 24 hours in every single day. If you do an hour long workout, that is only 4% of your day! By understanding that you do not have to train all day to stay in shape, you will be more motivated realizing that your fitness journey does not have to consume you're entire life.

Check Social Media

As simple as that! We are always checking our feeds, so it wouldn't hurt to follow some motivational fitness accounts (I recommend @varcitystudios!).

Wear New Workout Clothes

Just like any outfit you buy, you want to show it off. Investing in workout gear is not only fun, but practical. If you like wearing your workout clothes, it will boost your mood when actually working out.

Workout with Friends

This can be one of the few situations when peer pressure is good.  Sign up to go to a workout class with a close friend. There presence will make you enjoy it more and you wouldn’t want to flake on plans with a buddy. If you have someone holding you accountable, you are more likely to be successful.

Get a Fitness Tracker

My personal favorite is FitBit. Investing in that little device will guilt you into using it and might be the jumpstart you need to get out of your workout rut.
